Current Situation

Niger is located in Western Africa. Niger is bordered by Algeria, Benin, Burkina Faso, Chad, Libya, Mali and Nigeria. Niger's main export is Uranium, although agriculture employs 90% of the population, most of which is subsistence farming and is completely dependant on rainfall. Niger does have many natural resources but lacks any investments to exploit all of this potential and thus remains one of the poorest countries in the world in GDP per capita terms.
