Biography:


Yves Leterme was born in Wervik, Belgium, in 1960. He is the 48th Prime Minister of Belgium. He obtained a law degree in 1981, a degree in political science in 1983, a master's degree in law in 1984 and a Master of Public Administration degree in 1985. Before entering politics he was a civil servant.

He was elected for the first time to the House of Representatives in 1997. He later became Minister-President of Flanders in 2004. In 2008 he served his first stint has Belgian Prime Minister. One of his goals was constitutional reform, to decentralize the state's power and give more to the regions, however he failed in this. He resigned when the intended sale of nationalized bank Fortis to BNP Paribas failed and the government was sued by shareholders.

He became Prime Minister again in 2009, but one of the coalition members withdrew their support on April 22th 2010, and he again offered his resignation to the king.

Biography:


Herman Van Rampuy was born in Etterbeck, Belgium, in 1947. He was the 47th Prime Minister of Belgium. He earned a degree in philosophy in 1968, and a master's of economics in 1971. He worked has a civil servant and a lecturer before joining politics

He first joined the Senate, and then in 1995 he was elected to the house of representatives. He served in several ministerial positions before becoming the Prime Minister of Belgium in 2008.
