Biography:

Heinz Fischer was born in 1938, in Graz, Austria. He went to earn a doctorate in law from the University of Vienna in 1961. Fischer has been a politician since 1971, for this he is widely criticized as being a career politician and out of touch with the real world. Nonetheless he was elected president of Austria in 2004.
